Samsung Gear S3 Frontier Review

 Samsung Gear S3 Frontier

Samsung Gear S3 Frontier

Now i'm going to be entirely honest with you guys, i've always been skeptical of smart watches. Ever since Apple announced their Watch I thought to myself "who really needs that". I've never owned a smart watch but i've always wanted to take one for a spin and I finally got my chance.

Changing the face of the watch is easy.

The new Samsung Gear S3 can do just about everything your phone can, it's quite astounding actually. After pairing with my Galaxy S7 (which was completely painless) I began exploring the functionality of my new toy. This thing tells you the weather, sends you email, text and any other notifications you want and can even take calls! I felt like Tom Cruise in Minority Report speaking into my watch. It also tracks all of your movement and lets you know when you've hit step or stair goals. If you're a hiker,  you can leave your phone in your backpack and still get your optimized hiking routes directly on the watch. If you're a golfer you can download the Golf app to give you accurate approch distances to the pin (I need this).

 This watch does everything!

The hardware really is top-notch, the screen is very clear and bright and the watch itself feels very durable. It's really easy to change the watch face and it also has interchangeable straps so you can wear it during a hike or out to dinner. It also has 4 GB of internal memory so you can use it with your bluetooth headphones as a standalone music player during a workout. My favourite thing about the watch was the battery life, it can last up to 4 days without needing to be charged which is a huge bonus because I always forget to charge my electronics. It's also dust and water resistant so it'll have no problem making it through your sweatiest spin classes.

Suit or casual, this watch goes with everything.

All in all I think i'm one of the converted. I didn't think i'd appreciate a smart watch but I truly enjoy wearing the Gear S3 and it's going to be hard to go back to a classic watch.
