I've had glasses since the third grade and started wearing contacts as early as grade six. My eyes and I have been at war for over 22 years. I've tried just about everything out there that there is to try and my most recent test has been with the ALCON DAILIES TOTAL1® There are three key things I look for in contacts.
As soon as I put these bad boys in my eyes I couldn't feel a thing, I didn't even know they were there. They are some of the most comfortable contacts I've ever worn and in the end isn't that what we want? To forget that we're even wearing them.
What I mean by longevity is this: I get up at 6:45 in the morning, sometimes my hockey game isn't until 11:30 at night. I wear my contacts all day and by the time I get home I don't want to feel like I have glue on my corneas. They actually have a unique moisturizing ingredient that is released every time you blink to make sure they're never dry. Now I don't recommend wearing your contacts for extended periods but sometimes there's just nothing you can do about it and these have passed my tests.
Now in terms of price daily contacts will always be the most expensive option. You wear them once then discard so you're just buying more contacts than you normally would. But a full year's supply is about the same cost as a good pair of glasses so what would you rather wear? Glasses that slip down your nose, are terrible for sports and don't match everything you wear? or contacts that you don't need solution for, keep your eyes moisturized and are great for sports.
The ALCON DAILIES TOTAL1® truly allow you to "See it All" in the most comfortable way possible. This post was Sponsored by Alcon, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
